Ashley and Payden | Carilley Estate Wedding

We started the day at Brookeigh Estate, where Ashley and her bridesmaids Kat, Melyssa and Sarah were getting ready in the Courtyard Villa. The girls were super organised, and everything went smoothly. The wedding theme was vintage, so Ashley had arranged for a white VW Combin van to for the short ride to Carilley Estate.

There was a slight hiccup when we arrived at the ceremony, after a slight misunderstanding the ceremony had been set up on the lower area of Carilley, down the hill, surrounded by bush. So when Ashley first arrived and peered outside to see the guests waiting, there was no one there. Ashley took it all in her stride, and decided to  keep the ceremony where it had been set up. It probably worked out for the better, the lighting was amazing as it shimmered through the bush and the shade was a welcome releif from the hot day. And the backlit leaves made for an amazing backdrop. The ceremony was beautiful, and a lovely touch having both their mum’s as the witnesses.

The formal family photos and the rest of the bridal party photos were mostly taken near the ceremony location, and over the bridge. There were so many beautiful areas that we didn’t need to go far at all.

The reception was also held at Carilley. I did notice the table names had a New York theme, which is probably because Payden proposed to Ashley in New York, on top of the Empire State Building. :) The reception details included lace, pretty pastels, flowers in jars and
chalkboard signs and it looked beatiful with the large windows and all the greenery outside too. Payden and Ashley met in the weirdest way. When Ashley was just 17, she gate crashed Payden’s 18th birthday party. Ashley must have really impressed him, because despite the fact she started out as an uninvited guest they’ve been together ever since. I did get the feeling that their wedding was going to be one huge party. They breezed through most of the formalities quite early in the night to ensure there was plenty of time for dancing! And boy was there a lot of dancing :) Ashley also wanted to give an extra big thanks to Todd Woodward, The Dinner Singer who was amazing and loved by the guests.

Thank you Ashley and Payden for  having us at your wedding, it was such a fun day and party atmosphere. It was lovely to meet your friends and family, and we had an amazing day! :)
