I think it’s a very sweet story how Hannah and Matt first met. Hannah was training to be a beauty therapist, and the salon she was working at was owned by Matt’s matchmaker cousin… which is how Matt somehow ended up as the volunteer model for pedicures and massages during many of Hannah’s training appointments.
Whilst for Matt it was love at first ‘pedicure’, luckily he is persistent as he had to ask Hannah out a few times until she agreed to a date. Making sure he made the most of the opportunity to charm, Matt offered to pick Hannah up in his Holden Commodore. Dressed in a stylish button up shirt, he knocked on Hannah’s front door and even met her mum. They went to dinner and the movies, where Matt impressed Hannah with his favourite movie snack – popcorn and Maltesers- together!
Matt’s proposed under the stars, on the beach in Esperance. As the winter winds straight from Antartica swept over the clear waters and white sand, Hannah answered a big Yes!
Which is why, we were back on the water at Hillarys Yacht Club celebrating their wedding. Their romantic ceremony was held overlooking the marina. Afterwards we wandered to the beach and a stunning park nearby for bridal party photos. Their reception was held upstairs at the Yacht Club where a whole lot of Kalgoorlie antics took place! :).
Thank you Hannah and Matt for having us part of your beautiful wedding! We had such a fun day :) And have an amazing time in America on your honeymoon!
