We were really excited to photograph the lovely couple’s wedding as we’d had such a great time chatting to them at the pre-wedding meeting, we knew they’d be a blast. Also because Indian weddings offer so much colour, action, ritual and celebration, which is every photographer’s dream!!
Richard and I arrived at their house at 9am, where the boys where getting ready downstairs and the girls upstairs. Quite a few of their friends and family travelled from all over the world, from Kenya, Canada and England to participate in the festivities, with many staying with at their house as well I must say that the atmosphere was certainly one big party!
The ceremony was beautiful, and they looked so in love. The bride’s traditional Indian wedding dress was absolutely stunning. It was actually from India, and weighted over 10kg. That’s a lot of dress to be wearing on such a hot day.
Since the lovely couple were decked out in layers of clothing and jewels, and the humidity was extremely high, we decided to change our plans and instead of going to UWA for their bride and groom photos to take them in the air conditioned comfort of their amazing house, and later in the afternoon at a local park. We’re really happy with how the photos turned out, and it just shows that as long as the bride and groom are comfortable, the photos will be awesome.
The ceremony was held at the Morley Recreation Centre, the huge dance floor was certainly vital! The night was colourful, the atmosphere amazing and once again a pleasure to photograph. Thanks guys for a fun day.
