Julie and Dale’s wedding theme was happy and up-beat with bright colours, humour and a splash of Indianna Jones. Definitely the first time I’ve heard “humour” as part of a wedding theme, but for Julie and Dale is suited them perfectly. And after spending one sunny afternoon with Julie and Dale taking their per-wedding photos, we knew we were in for a fun day.
On their wedding day, which was also their 7 year anniversary, the sun was shining and the clouds were white and fluffy. We first visited Dale, his family and groomsmen Anthony and Pat. And just a reminder, the photos with the swords was totally my idea, haha better remind Julie since she is not a fan of them :) Meanwhile at the girls, Julie, family and her bridesmaids Heather and Shona had everything running smoothly.
Julie and Dale’s ceremony was held at the Variety Pavilion in Kings Park, surrounded by lots of greenery, some cool looking trees and the occasional curious jogger. For their bridal party photos we wandered around Kings Park before ducking over to South Perth. Their reception was held at City West Function Centre, where the food was amazing, (loved the four section entree plate) and the atmosphere to match. And Julies Dad wins funniest speech award, as he had a huge 1000 page file balled “Wedding speech” wheeled up to him at the podium.
Julie and Dale honeymooned in Mauritius, which sounded amazing! Thanks to Sarah and Ryan, who we photographed a while back who put in the good word, which is how we ended up photographing Julie and Dale’s wedding. And a big thank you Julie and Dale for such a fun, loving, and humorous day.
