Katie and Brodie planned their wedding to be a chilled out, country style, get together, with a little bit of ceremony to make it official. And they got exactly what they wished for, an amazing day surrounded by their lovely family and friends! Even the kangaroos were chilled out, watching from underneath the surrounding gumtrees. It was not without a lot of hard work and planning beforehand, multiple car trips from Perth to carry all the supplies down there, and a huge amount of hard work by all so many of their family and friends (whom they would like to shout out a big thank you!). And of course unique details such as their gold coloured dinosaurs on the centerpieces, their heart shaped web wishing well (if that’s what you’d call it) and lots of other quirky details.
We started the day with the bride and bridesmaids Imogen , Joann, Laura and Katie’s very cute niece Tillie, who were getting ready in the mansion at Dwellingup Chalets. Meanwhile Brodies and his Best man/ brother Keelan were getting ready at their parents house in Dwellingup. The bridal party photos were taken before the ceremony at the Wine Tree, a lovely winery that kindly let us use their stunning grounds and rustic barn. Katie and Brodie’s ceremony was held on the grounds of the Dwellingup Chalets, in front of a sparkly gold backdrop. After that the guests played games such as giant jenga and bocce and enjoyed the carnival atmosphere. As the suns set, the celebration continued around their awesome stretch tent on the other side of the field, under the stars!
They honeymoon which sounds amazing included watching the Northern Lights in Norway, fireworks in Prague and the Maldives for some relaxation.
Thank you Katie and Brodie for inviting us to be part of your day. It was lovely to catch up with our past couples Katherine and Keelan, and Sarah and Shannon, and their new additions to the family, its always great to see so many familiar faces. We had an amazing time, and have never felt such a chilled out, fun vibe at a wedding, it was a pleasure to photograph your day! :)
