It’s usually exciting to have our work featured in different publications. But last night we found out that one of our photos was stolen and published as part of a magazine advertisement for Canadian photographer Paskal Theriault.
Our photo is the sunset photo from Lauren and Guys wedding on the bottom left. That’s not cool! He also used one of superstar photographer Jerry Ghionis’s iconic images (bottom right).
I’m not quite sure how he was so certain that no-one would notice. Whilst Canada and Australia are pretty far apart, the world is a very small place, especially on Facebook. Richard actually spotted our photo being used after Jerry Ghionis posted a photo of the magazine advert to his Facebook page. I guess it just shows the importance of ensuring your wedding photographer is the actual photographer of any images that they show you. Brides, make sure you see large prints or full albums not just a few small images on a screen!

Its shocking, I saw this on Jerry Ghionis’s facebook page, not a good way to start a business.
Thats CRAZY. I hope the photographer pays for this, I can’t believe that someone would think that this is okto do. Beautiful image by the way.
