Pan Pacific Grand River Ballroom | Karis and Nathan

10-11-12. The most inquired about date in a long time. Luckily Karis and Nathan had booked us way back because I turned away what feels like hundreds of brides for that day!! If you choose a special wedding dates you really do have to be super organised (like Karis)!

We started the day visiting Nathan and the boys Joshua, Darren, Lachlan, Marko and Samuel at the Pan Pacific, where they had a sunny corner room with an awesome view. After they quickly dressed we took some photos around the hotel.

Meanwhile the girls were pretty much ready with hair and makeup done. Karis was relaxed, and bridesmaids Bec, Jessica, Sarah, Marnie and Jenna had beautifully styled all the details (jewellery, garter, the ring, invites, flowers, shoes, and a photo of Nathan) on a cute vintage table that looked like it came right out of a magazine. Karis’s parents Greg and Sue are so sweet, they’d placed an advert in The Kalgoorlie Miner to announce Karis and Nathan’s engagement  so of course we got a few pics of that as well.  The only problem was remembering to try and take photos of Karis’s “good side” since both sides of her looked so good to me!! Hopefully we can convince Karis that even her “not so good” side looks pretty good :)

The ceremony was held at the stunning St Columbia’s Catholic Church in South Perth. As the limo pulled up it began to drizzle. Perth, what’s going on with your weather?! It was the first time that we had photographed a wedding at that church, and we were surprised at just how awesome the views from outside were, you could see over the river to the Perth CBD and the stormy skies behind.

With Karis’s main request for some sunny photos with sun flare in them, we ended up capturing the exact opposite as stormy clouds covered the sky and completely hid the sun.  After a quick photo outside the church, the bridal party ran to the shelter of the limo, whilst Karis and Nathan braved the slight drizzle outside for a few more photos. Since the girls were freezing we decided to head straight to the reception venue, the Pan Pacific to take some more photos in the lobby.

The reception was held at the fab Grand River Ballroom. Its such a stunning venue perfect for such a beautiful wedding. Thanks Karis and Nathan for having us at your wedding!
