Scottish Wedding | Rachel and Stephen at Cottesloe and Swanbourne

We recently photographed the Scottish wedding of Rachel and Stephen, we had such a great time! The ceremony was held at the Arch Monument in Cottesloe and the reception 2km down the road at the Naked Fig in Swanbourne.

We started the day with Stephen the boys, as they relaxed and then prepared themselves for the big day. I never realized how intricate kilts are and I now have insider knowledge about what goes under a kilt! What can I say… it was a full moon.

We headed over to photograph Rachel and her stunning bridesmaids, just in time to take a few ‘before’ photos before Rachel got into her dress. Meanwhile her one month old son Will, slept peacefully – kindly letting his mum enjoy the day whilst he behaved perfectly!  Luckily the bridesmaids were on the ball, a few minutes after leaving for the ceremony,  they realised that the flowers hadn’t left with us! After a quick dash back home we were back on track. There was a slight amount of pressure about not running late – Stephen had told Rachel that if she was more than 15 minutes late he was going to the pub with the boys.

After the Hot Rod ride to the Arch Monument, and only 14 minutes late, Rachel arrived ready to be married in paradise! A special mention to the guests who survived through the sunshine after coming from -17 degree winter in Scotland! Formal photos were taken at the Sundial, before we wandered over to the Indiana Teahouse for a few photos with the bridal party before the reception.

The Naked Fig is a fantastic location, perched up high overlooking the ocean. The retro decor, and reds and oranges matched the bridesmaids dresses and lively guests perfectly, as they danced the night away!

Thanks Rachel and Stephen  for letting us be part of your  wonderful day.
