Silkwood Winery Pemberton

Only a couple this awesome would attempt to organise two destination weddings in just two months.
Their WA ceremony and reception were held at Silkwood Winery, near Pemberton, with another wedding planned for the following week in Argentina where the Groom’s family live.

When the lovely bride first emailed me after seeing photos from a friends wedding we had recently photographed I was pretty excited as we have not shot a wedding in Pemberton before, and extra excited that her wedding date was for pretty much the only Saturday we still had available for the rest of the year. Sometimes things just work out perfectly!

In the morning we first photographed the boys getting ready, and then the girls in the chalets at Silkwood. We then managed to squeeze in some photos in the surrounding area, of the beautiful trees, red dirt and pretty Warren National Park. Thanks to the lovely couple for scouting out some cool spots beforehand and the bride for being super tough was happy hiking in the wet gravel path with her heels, whilst it slightly sprinkled.

The ceremony location was decided about 10 minutes after the official start time, after the bridal party were able to connect to wifi and check the weather radar and see if there was a clearing in the crazy weather so they could have their ceremony outside by the river at Silkwood. Fortunately the forecast was good and the rain held off for the ceremony which I think is the only time it stopped raining all day!

The guests had drinks on the veranda as we borrowed the bridal party for more photos of sunset. Well, except the clouds were so thick it was more like twilight as the sun was completely blocked! The reception was great fun, amazing food and of course crazy dancing. Thank you for having us part of your day, we had an amazing time!
