Wedding Photography | Emma and Josh in Dalkeith

Emma and Josh

We had a fantastic time at Emma and Josh’s wedding.  We started the day visiting Josh and the boys as they were getting ready at Emma’s Nanas house. We were greeted by a note under the front door mat- “Come in the office door – all in Showers!!”   Hmm we wondered how everyone could be having a shower at the same time, but we didn’t ask!  We found our way to the back, and make our grand entrance through one of the bedrooms, where the boys were luckily, mostly dressed! It was a hectic and exciting scene we had arrived at. The final and longest step was Josh and the Groomsmen  putting on their ties, which was definitely a team effort!  We stayed for the celebrations as they drunk their little bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label before heading over to the Girls getting ready.

Emma was getting ready at her aunties house. It looked like it was straight out of a magazine- because it was. There was an amazing light flooding into the family room, overlooking the turquoise pool. Testament to Emma’s extremely organised wedding management, when we arrived  she was already in her gown, 30 minutes earlier than planned.  This did leave us some extra time for portraits of Emma and the bridesmaids, so it worked out well. What can we say, Emma’s dress was stunning!!

The ceremony was held right on the Swan River at Matilda Bay opposite UWA, which was very romantic.  The three classic cars were parked right next to the ceremony, which added a nice touch. We wandered over to UWA with the bridal party for a few relaxed portraits, before heading to Emmas parents house where the garden reception was held.

The night was perfect, a warm summers evening. Tealight candles flickered in the recycled glass jars that Emma and Josh had been collecting. The highlights included a hilarious speech by Emma’s parents, where they replayed an incriminating answering phone message that had been left by unsuspecting Josh a few years earlier, and Josh’s Best Man speech live in his boxers from Misouri.

Thank you Emma and Josh for letting us be part of your day :)
