Jen and John’s wedding was a beautiful day, full of fun, laughter and love. The day started with drums and dancing dragons. As per Chinese Vietnamese tradition, John first had to prove his worthiness as a Groom, before the tea ceremony could commence. He brought along a pig… and other gifts. In order to be reunited with his bride he next had to pass a series of tests given by the Bridesmaids. Luckily he could use his Groomsmen and mates to help, which proved hilarious! Their tasks included delicately passing a piece seaweed between each Groomsman’s lips which ended up looking quite bro-mantic, eating Wasabi and other interesting foods, and popping balloons using pelvic thrust only. Only after John successfully passed did the tea pouring ceremony commence.
After a quick stop to change outfits, their touching wedding ceremony was held at the stunning St Josephs in Subiaco, with our favourite Priest Father Joe! I still laughed at his jokes even though I’ve heard them quite a few times now :)
We stopped past UWA for bridal party photos, before some photos on John and Jen’s huge balcony of their bridal suite at Crown. John and Jen’s reception was held in the stunning Astral Ballroom at Crown. WedStyle made the place look even more amazing then usual, such pretty decor and pink uplighting, we were in photographer heaven.
Thank you Jen and John for having us photograph your wedding.
