Tracy and Blake’s wedding was a magical day! We woke up in Kalgoorlie and checked the weather forecast: “hail, heavy rains, wind and possible flooding”. Luckily we love rain and stormy skies is awesome for photography, so we’d say Tracy picked a pretty spectacular day, well minus the bit where we all got hailed on haha. But on the brighter side, the hail wasn’t too painful, and unlike rain we didn’t even get wet. Luckily mother nature made up for that with the most photographic skies, perfectly manicured lawn, the red dirt we love, pretty sunset and a double rainbow!
We started the day with Blake and the boys. The storm had knocked over a tree at the front of their house – so we made the most of that along with Kal’s impressively wide streets (apparently wide enough to turn a horse and carriage) the boys posed with the tree removal team. Meanwhile Tracy and the girls we’re getting ready at the Rydges Kalgoorlie.
The stormy forecast meant their ceremony was changed from Green View Park to a marquee at Kalgoorlie Golf Course. The view over the lake was stunning. And yes, they made a good call- at the end of their ceremony we ventured outdoors for the congratulations, not long afterwards it was when the skies decided to throw confetti- in the form of hail. After a quick stop for photos at The Grand Hotel where Tracy and Blake first met, before heading back to their reception where the festivities continued until late in the evening.
Thank you Tracy and Blake for having us part of your amazing day, we loved every minute of it!
