Casandra and Scott’s wedding was a long time coming… they booked us before they were even engaged a few years back. I guess you could say Casandra is good at seeing what she’s after and making a move. Hmm well, that is exactly how she first met Scott. After spotting him at a nightclub in Bunbury, Cas spontaneously decided to buy him a drink, a shot actually, called Squashed Frog! Very smooth :) Seven years later, Scott proposed to Cas in the Swan Valley over a romantic picnic by the river, after taking Casandra on a horse and cart ride.
When their wedding day finally arrived, it was the calm between the storm. The two days before their wedding was thunderstorms and lightning, which was about as crazy as Perth gets, and the three days after their wedding were stormy and lightning. But on their wedding day the weather was perfect. In fact, most of their guests spent the evening under the stars, enjoying the balmy weather and pretty views.
We started the morning at Scott and his groomsmen Bryan,Nathan, Pete and Matt who were getting ready at Broad water Como Resort. After wandering down to the river, we visited Casandra and her bridesmaids Tash, Misty, Marisa and Catrina in their room on the opposite side of the resort. Their wedding ceremony was held at St Columba Church in South Perth, which is one of our favourite churches, very cute and overlooking the CBD. Father Tony Chiera was fantastic, I liked his meaningful musings, and loved the candle lighting , where they lit the candle facing their guests whilst Father held it. That’s the first time I’ve seen that! After a quick stop by the Boat Shed for some bridal party photos, we made our way to their reception venue at South of Perth Yacht Club. It looked amazing, WED on Beaufort did an amazing job as usual!! Oh and the food was awesome. The cutest cocktail style food, but laid out like a buffet. After that followed some very crazy dancing, by young and old!!
Thank you so much for having us at your fun, vibrant, yet relaxed wedding. And Cas for being such a happy, expressive bride, never seen so much jumping up and down going on, especially in those heels! We had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed the festive atmosphere! Enjoy Mauritius!!
