Karen and Kim’s wedding was a beautiful day, and a honour to be a part of. The north west of WA is such a magical place, its red chiselled landscape, and so much beauty everywhere is was the perfect setting for their elopement.
Karen and Kim first met when they were volunteering on the Gibb River Challenge, so it was perfectly planned that to get married when they reached the final destination at El Questro.
Their ceremony was held at Miri Miri falls, and which is so remote the only way there is a two day hike, or a helicopter trip. Luckily for us, Karen and Kim picked the helicopter option :) It was a short hike from the clearing the helicopter landed in to the ceremony location, a small clearing with a flat, slightly raised red rock, over looking the waterfall tumbling down the cliff face. The rocks glowed as though they were lit by the warm glow of late afternoon sun, except that is was in the shade. They were that orange! And a big shout out to their awesome celebrant Mo who did an amazing job!
After the ceremony Karen and Kim had a romantic swim in the pure waters of Miri Miri Falls, along with a picnic packed the amazing staff at El Questro. Some of the most magical places were just along the side of the road, the long grass and boab trees, it’s amazing how photogenic the dust can look! And Pigeonhole Lookout was so stunning for sunset.
Karen and Kim honeymoon in some of the most magical places in Australia, the Bungle Bungles National Park and Uluru. These guys know how to adventure!
