Dallas and Brody’s wedding was an epic celebration, full of fun and laughter! It was held in Yallingup, and we love destination weddings! There’s something about gathering your family and friends for a massive weekend away that just adds even more excitement to the day.
They first met through mutual friends. After a few dates, they quickly realised that they both shared a fun, energetic, boisterous nature and proved this while ripping up the dance floor at their favourite bar, the Mustang. It didn’t take long for Brody and Dallas to know that they wanted each other to be life partners as well as crazy dance partners. Many years later, Brody proposed in the snow on Christmas Day while in Whistler.
When their wedding finally arrived, we started the day with the boys who were getting ready at Margaret’s Forest Apartments in Margaret River. The bush out the back made a great backdrop for some early morning photos. Meanwhile the girls were looking stunning in their floral robes as their finishing touches of makeup were applied. Dallas’s super helpful bridesmaids Jess, Beth, Gaby and Caitlin made sure everything was running smoothly and looked amazing in stylish red dressed and flower crowns.
Dallas and Brody’s ceremony was held at the beautiful Laurance Wines (now called Robert Oatley, Margaret River), near the Rose Garden featuring 1000 rose bushes, between a lake, the gardens, a pretty water fountain and native bush which the late afternoon sun streamed through. This meant we didn’t need to go far in any directions for photos afterwards! We did make it to the Barn, on a neighbouring property where the bridal party had canapes, which was also very photogenic as the sun skimmed over the vineyards.
Their reception was back by the ceremony location, in the rustic Cellar, complete with open fireplace, wooden beams, a chandelier made of wine glasses, and french doors overlooking the gardens and vineyard. Dallas’s Dad was the professional MC which was very entertaining. There was a touching tribute slideshow for Brody’s mum. And seven years later from their first dance session at the Mustang, they were ripping-up the dance floor at their wedding reception!! The crazy first dance that Dallas and Brody tell me was totally unplanned, would put many a choreographer to shame, it was soo entertaining!
