Amanda and Craig | Brookleigh Estate Wedding

Amanda and Craig’s story sounds like something from a movie scripts. They  first met when they were teenagers, initially becoming close friends hanging out together every weekend, before beginning dating. After a few more years passed they were blessed with the arrival of their beautiful son Corey. They were excited and nervous about the new phase of their lives, and they both knew that they would spend the rest of their lives together. After many years together Amanda and Craig had discussed marriage and even looked at rings together occasionally. Then one day Amanda stumbled upon a ring that she loved but together they decided to wait until their finances improved to purchase it.  Whilst Amanda tried to hide her disappointment, Craig could sense it and it broke his heart. So he did what all romantic leading men would do and decided to secretly purchase the ring. When it came time to propose, he took Amanda out to a guy movie to throw her off the scent. and afterwards they went to the South Perth foreshore, where Craig nervously got down on one knee, told Amanda he loved her and asked her to marry him. They celebrated with a bottle of champagne.

And just like a movie script, the next chapter of their lives began. For us, their wedding day started at the Vines, where Craig and groomsmen Alan, Brendan, Tim and their son, and special ring bearer Corey were getting dressed. Then we headed to Brookleigh Estate, where the girls were getting ready in the stunning Lakeside Villa whilst sipping  champagne with fresh strawberries.

The ceremony was held Lakeside, literally just outside the Lakeside Villa. The ceremony was very romantic,  well except for the flies! As the guest wandered up for pre-dinner drinks, the bridal party photos were taken around Brookleigh’s awesome property.  As though we didn’t have enough awesome location to shoot, the sky was beautiful that day, and the sunset that followed was stunning, just like a movie set over the paddock out back :) Even the moon was perfect,  and the Jacaranda Trees had just reached  full bloom, which perfectly complimented the splashes of purple through out the wedding  and bridesmaid’s dresses!

The reception was held in Stewart’s Restaurant. The existing decor in the restaurant was perfect with their rustic yet elegant theme. Their guests were impressed by lovely speeches, the Maid of Honors wedding rap, and Corey, who at just 7 years old, and without any notes at all, gave a beautiful, heartfelt speech expressing how happy he was that his parents were getting married. It’s interesting that upon viewing all the photos of the shoe game, the real winner of the garter game was Corey, he was very fast with getting his shoes back on! the nigh ended with lots of dancing!  Amanda and Craig were very happy with all of the wedding vendors that helped make their day so amazing. The full list of everyone who contributed to making the day more than they hoped for can be found at the bottom of this page.

We’d like to thank you both for having us at your wedding, we had an amazing day, it was a privilege meeting your family and friends :)
