Sarah and Chris | Sandalford Winery Wedding

When Sarah and Chris were first looking for wedding venues, as soon as they arrived at Sandalford Estate, they knew that it was the one! And I totally agree, it is extremely photogenic, the trees, lake, river, jetty, cute stairs, vineyards and mostly just all the open space makes it a perfect for photography. :)

Sarah and Chris’s romantic ceremony was held on the Merlot Lawn at Sandalford, a raised landscaped lawn above limestone stairs, under the trees, overlooking the lake. Sarah was very impressed with John the celebrant for helping make the ceremony so special, and his ideas for the personalized touches.

The bridal party photos were held on the Sandalford grounds, the only problem being there are way more awesome places than there is time to walk to! :) Luckily we also had some time scheduled to borrow Sarah and Chris for sunset photos as well so we had time to go to the vineyards and field facing west. Words can’t describe how awesome their sunset was that day, it would have to be the best sunset of 2014. We even managed to sneak into the Oak room for a few photos, surrounded in wine barrels, and the Verdelho Lawn vineyards for some night photos.

The reception was buffet style, held in the upstairs Durack Room, a rustic, elegant styled room with an enclosed balcony overlooking the vines on one side and French doors and balcony overlooking the lake on the other side. Wow was the room set up awesome, the venue has such character and I love the oversize lights. A big shout out to Victoria, the wedding coordinator at Sandalford for being all round amazing, Sarah was very grateful for all her assistance! Oh and the lolly bar was delicious :P
